  Best burritos in Kailua and possibly all of Hawaii. I've had most places on Oahu, Maui, and Kauai. It is LARGE, reasonably priced, and they give you free chips and salsa. If you are craving a burrito this is 100% the spot.

  Great Lunch Spot
Stopped here today for lunch.  The place was crowded with locals, which is always a good sign. My wife had a "street style taco" and I had the taco salad. Both were generous portions and quite delicious.

  Great tacos and great quesadillas.
My wife, her cousin, and myself at there for takeout since that's the only thing allowed during COVID-19. IT - DID - NOT -  DISAPPOINT. I have looked for mexican style food since living on the island over the past 3 years. Only one other place holds a candle to Maui Tacos, but we like Maui Tacos better because the portion sizes are so big and delicious. 

Furthermore, the owner was very jovial and customer friendly when we asked a simply question. His response won me over even more. When we walked away from the rice for a bit we found it was still fresh and worth the purchase. We will be back.

We recently moved to Kailua from North Carolina and our first meal out was with Maui Tacos. 

Their Baja fish tacos and salsa bar is incredible! The atmosphere is cozy and their general manager, Alfonzo has been nothing but warm and generous with each of our visits. 

Highly recommend if you want a quick bite to eat.

I ordered the vegetarian bowl this time.  The bowl was 9” in diameter and full.  It was wonderful.  I wish I would have substituted the potatoes.  There were many.  Nothing wrong with them, perfectly cooked and tender but, trying to stay away from starchy foods.  Too much for me to eat. Again, you must try the pineapple salsa.  This time I tried the Hola Aloha mild salsa, excellent!
